Munzee Hunt

Traditionally we do a little geocaching on Father's Day. This year we had to modify our hunting. In order to not touch anything that might be comprised, we decided to capture Munzees.

I got to walk 1.3 miles and it took 1 hour and 4 minutes to capture 38 out of 41 possible Munzees. The three not captured were missing or damaged. I took pictures of those three and let the owner know. Maybe they will get some maintenance done on them and I can try again.

I got my 1 mile walk in, 1 hour of non-stop walking in, tradition Father's Day hunting, practiced social distancing, and did not comprise myself or my family health. Bottom line, a successful day.

Nervous Excitement

Oh! My! Goodness! Tomorrow is Monday, August 20th. It is the first day of school for my kids and I am treating it as my 1st day too! Not my 1st day of school but the 1st day in my new chapter in the book of My Health Journey. To prepare myself I decided I need to be more organized. Not perfect, but better than I have been in the past. In doing so, I will be able to be more consistent in planning, scheduling, and managing my time, my health, and my emotions. It may sound weird to mention my emotions, but, yes, my emotions. When I am well prepared, I do not stress out, I do not get tempted to stress eat. When I am well prepared, I able to handle life's hick-ups much more easily.  The little black table on picture on the bottom right is what my desk looked like. Entering A New School Year's Chaos

School has started for us again. We are in 1st Grade! Whoo-hooo! I'm happy and sad. Happy we are moving on, growing, ... sad my baby is growing and moving on. *sigh* But I will focus on I'm happy he is growing up happy, healthy, strong, and learning. This year I am volunteering for a number of things. I think I can handle it all since almost everything is done on the same two days each week. Makes it manageable to have a schedule where two days a week I live at my son's school. But I can't neglect my efforts to loose weight. It's been a roller coaster of a first week so I am trying to get a quick handle on it before the scales starts moving in an unwanted direction.
