Mrs. G's Journey to Better Health

Got some walking in by taking my kid Trick-O-Treating up and down Glendora Village. We walked for an hour, stopping at 90% of the shops. We collected LOTS of candy. Mostly M&M's Premium Dark Chocolate. Hmmmm, I sampled 1 package and they are very good. Will have to hide a few for the kid and give the rest away. It is way too much temptation for me.

It's been pretty windy in my neck of the woods. I have not exercised in a few days now and it's tough to get back out there. So today I took an easy stroll through my neighborhood, pushed a double-stroller and walked for an hour.

Time sure does fly by. Trying to keep up with the kids is tough enough. With little sleep, it all gets tougher. Loosing weight is challenge, I should be going for walks but all I want to do is sleep for a 24-48hours straight. Ugh! Hopefully I can catch up on my sleep soon so I can be more productive.

My little girl got her 1st tooth! It is a tiny little white spot on her lower gum. Yeah!

We spent half a day at the L.A. County Fair and got a lot of walking in, watched the cows being milked, petted the goats, sheep, cow, then dusted my clothing and washed my hands. We brought our own snacks so I was not tempted by the funnel cakes and we saved a few bucks for it too.

I ran my first 'little' race. It was a 1 mile family fun walk/run this weekend. I ended up jogging most of it at a very easy pace. To my surprise, I made it in 16 minutes. Next year I should be able to run the 5K at an easy pace. Today, it's all about doing laundry and going up and down the stairs as exercise. Looking forward tapping The Biggest Loser tomorrow night and watching it during the day on Wednesday.
