To re-start my journey I need to know where I am and where I want to be. It’s obvious I need to continue shedding weight, roughly 40lbs. Other things are not so obvious. Therefore I had blood work done: Complete Blood Count (CBC), Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), Creatinine, Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT), Hemoglobin A1C, Lipid Panel, Sodium and Potassium. Oh boy, they took 4 vials of blood! Within 24 hours I had the results of the 7 tests. Most of those tests say I am doing okay but could be better. ONE test was nuts! Practically off the chart! I may not be a doctor, or fully understand what the number means, but this one alarmed me and my doctor. First off, I do have an appointment set up to talk to my doctor about all the results, especially this ONE test. The ONE test was the A1C.
