Grilled Chicken Alla Caprese

Time to get back to counting calories consumed and calories burned. Dinner today was yummy. Grilled Chicken Alla Caprese from Red Robin, 660 calories. A good way to start the week.

Mickey's Halloween Party

Spent 8 hours last night at Disneyland. We got on only 1 ride. We spent our time trick-o-treating throughout the entire park. They had "Treat Trails," you go in one end, walk thru a path and stop at 3 to 5 stations. Each station handed out a handful of candy along with either apples, carrots, gummies, freeze dried fruit, or raisins. I certainly got in a lot of walking. To top it off, I did NOT have a single piece of candy! Wooo-hoo. In the morning, I was pleased with my weight in the scale.

Power Crunch Protein Energy Bars

This past week I set out to try protein bars. It's my understanding that protein helps reduce hunger. My hesitation is most of these items do not taste very good or contain too much sugar. So far I have found that I do like the taste of "Power Crunch." In particular chocolate cake and peanut butter. They do taste a bit airy/fluffy but feel very much like you are eating regular wafer cookies without a load of sugar. If you have been following my tweets, you saw I ate one today. They fit  into my every day life in place of snacking on cookies. These protein bars satisfy the cookie craving, the sweet tooth, and it feels like they prevent me from over eating both during meals and in between meals too. Well, that was my experience with them this week. Luckily I found out my local Costco carries Power Crunch. Yup, I bought two boxes there. One chocolate cake flavored and the other peanut butter. As you can see from the pictures, the peanut butter one contains 13g of prote

Fever? Cold? Cough?

Taking a moment to check in. I'm sick. I started with a fever, then a cold. Now I have a cold and a cough. Sure hope to get over this soon. I feel yukkie.
