Memorial Day Weekend

Happy Monday! No, wait. Happy Tuesday!! This morning I weighed in at 181.4lbs Did not loose, and, did NOT gain. That sounds good to me considering it was Memorial Day Weekend filled with lots of food. Yay! Perhaps that 1 day of Geocaching with Signal helped burn some the extra calories. Did not find lots of caches, but we did do a lot of walking and a little hiking too.

It has been a long time since I have had Jello. Today I made some lime flavored sugar-free Jello. It was very flavorful. To help count calories I pre-portioned the Jello into 5oz cups. Each cup is about 10calories. A good dessert option, a good quick snack, and the little ones liked it too.

What is the estimated calories burned doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD? Started Day 1 of 30, ( for the 3rd time ) this morning. Made it through the warm-up, then I started struggling through the rest of the workout. The tougher part of the 30days is taking the time to do the DVD with my little ones interrupting every 3 to 5 minutes. I will keep at it. They will get used to my doing the DVD and so will my body.

Been having a craving for cupcakes. So I made these for the first time. Sugar-free yellow cupcakes with sugar-free chocolate frosting. Both were Philsbury. Each cupcake was about 160calories. They were okay, but not great. They did reduced the craving and discourage over indulging. Being that I love chocolate, I could taste the difference.

2011_0519 A Little Gain

This morning I weighed in at 182.6lbs A little gain this morning. 0.8lbs to be exact. It's to be expected since I had Starbucks' specialty coffee and a double chocolate brownie.

2011_0518 Unexpected Soreness

This morning I weighed in at 181.8lbs Didn't think I did any more physical activity than I usually do, or anything out of the ordinary either. This morning my body is telling me otherwise, I feel a bit sore.

This morning I weighed in at 183.2lbs. A little weight gain. I guess that is to be expected when you don't count calories, have a Wendy's 1/4lb cheeseburger (470calories), fries (420calories), and then tack on a Venti Caramel Machiato (~224calories). Those 3 items alone are about 1114calories.

This morning I weighed in at 182.8lbs No change from yesterday. At least there was no gain.

2011_0507 Chicken Chop Suey

I weighed in this morning at 181.2lbs. I gained 1.2lbs. I think what contributed to the gain was the hot weather because I drank more water than usual. Also, I had Chicken Chop Suey for lunch and I did not even guess-estimate how many calories were in it. It was yummy and I enjoyed it. I did pass on the fried shrimp and Asian salad drenched in salad dressing. I knew those two items would be loaded with calories and not worth their small portion size.

I weighed in at 180lbs. Any weight loss today will definitely put me in the 170's! Yay!

2011_0504 Bump in the Road

This morning I weighed in at 181.0lbs. This does not surprise me. The 4lbs weight loss from 2 days ago was not a normal one. It was due mostly to the emotional turmoil and not eating much that day. Loosing weight is not something you do as an isolated item. To loose real weight in the real world and keep it off, I need to realize and accept, bad days happen. I had a bad day, which resulted in a very good weight loss on the scale. Unfortunately, it was not done the right way and two days later, I gained. The point being, loosing weight is a slow steady process to success. Quick fixes exist, but do not last. One bad day does not end my weight loss journey, it was just a bump in the road. That bump is in the past now.

This morning I weighed in at 180.6lbs. Yesterday was an emotionally rough day. On the brighter side, I lost 4lbs. That means I need to loose more 0.6lbs to finally be in the 170s. Today I reached a 20lb weight loss since starting my journey. Yay! A mini-milestone.

I weighed in this morning at 184.6lbs A little weight gain. 1.8lbs to be exact. I think it might be related to water retraction. Both lunch and dinner tasted very salty.
